To participate, the volunteer must be:

• At least in the 8th grade
• Able to attend a minimum of six court evenings during a 12-month period.  Court is held at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings each month, from 5:15 PM to 8:15 PM.

We accept Teen Court volunteer applications on a rolling basis and train new jurors several times throughout the year.

Because interest in this program is very high, you may not hear from us right away. If you are selected, you will be contacted when a training class or opening becomes available. If you are not chosen for the next training session, your application may be considered for a future one.

We understand that schedules and interests change. If you apply and later decide Teen Court is no longer a good fit, you’re always welcome to reach out and let us know.
